Woodhaven Chemist is owned and operated by Isaac Matatov, PharmD.

Our doors opened in January 2019 and we have been serving the local community ever since.

Isaac graduated St. John’s University in 2011 with a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy. After graduating, he worked in chain pharmacies but was unhappy with the system as there was no personal attention to patients and everything seemed rushed.

He always wanted to be a business owner and so he set out to open his own pharmacy. He chose Woodhaven as his location since it is such a bustling community of different nationalities, cultures and religions.

He managed to open up a pharmacy in the same space where Woodhaven Pharmacy stood for many years before. This was the pharmacy in the neighborhood and everyone knew the pharmacist by name and vice-versa. Isaac was determined to bring that back.
